The Founder
Guy Macpherson, PhD, is a father of two kiddos and holds a doctorate in clinical psychology. He has spent the last several years interviewing incredible people--therapists of all kinds, artists, authors, yogis, and filmmakers--who have dedicated their lives to helping those who’ve experienced trauma.
In 2014, while working at a clinic in Northern California, assessing and treating young individuals with early psychosis, Guy founded The Trauma Therapist Project with the goals of raising the awareness of trauma and creating an educational and supportive community for new trauma workers.
The podcast has consistently been voted recently has been voted among the best mental health podcasts.
Guy’s focus is on exploring and honoring the significance and healing power of authenticity--that of the therapist and the client, alike.
